Project Overview
Total Industrial Services successfully completed a significant Cold box repair for a gold mining client. A significant leak in the O2 Plant Cold Box needed to be located, isolated and repaired.
The leak created significant downtime to operations and was required to be completed as a matter of urgency. The unloading and dense phase loading of the 54m high Cold Box and Horizontal PSA Oxygen Generator Vessel was done without incident or downtime in difficult conditions.
Scope of Work
The project required overhaul of compressor, Intercooler, cleaning of Decamex, removal and HPW cleaning of various exchanger bundles utilizing machinery and technical expertise to unload the cold box and the Horizontal PSA vessel oxygen generator.
The Perlite was removed via gravity and vacuum and quarantined into Bulka bags. The 54m high cold box leak was located and repaired by technicians and the Perlite was reloaded using specialized machinery on time and without incident.
