Project Overview
The landfill development is part of TWM’s Integrated Waste Management Facility. It is designed to protect the environment from contaminants which may be present in the waste stream.
Phase 1: Construction of a landfill cell & leachate pond. The completed attenuation layers passed at inspection followed by laying of liner.
Scope of Work
Mobilization & demobilization, initial site survey & establish set out points
Prepare & manage stockpiles
Bulk cut to design levels, including loading and haulage of stockpile area
Rip & treat to 200mm depth, existing subgrade material to landfill cell
Rip & treat to 200mm depth, existing subgrade to leachate cell.
Supply and construct 300mm attenuation layer on base & slopes of the Stage 1 landfill cell.
Excavate, backfill & compact anchor trenches
Construct engineered fill surrounding side riser secondar leachate extraction pipe works
