Project Overview
As part of a Pacific Regional Waste Audit Program, Total Environmental Advisory prepared and delivered waste audit training and coordinated the delivery of a series of commercial and household waste audits in PNG in collaboration with government, development agencies and private sector for the PacWaste Plus and the South Pacific Regional Environment Programme.
The Project is currently preparing for the delivery of the program in Timor-Leste.
Scope of Work
The project commenced with the preparation of a waste audit plan and data stratification framework in collaboration with the SPREP, the environmental regulator, CEPA and key local level governments in PNG. As part of the project a training program and resources for delivery of the common waste audit methodology used throughout the Pacific were prepared by Total Environmental Advisory.
The training was attended by participants representing local and provincial level governments, the national government environmental authority, university and development agency. The project undertook quantitative and qualitative sampling and analysis of wastes generated by households and commercial enterprises. Delivering a training report and a waste audit report.
