Project Overview
Total Industrial Services successfully completed three molecular-sieve change outs in Papua New Guinea over 2 phases. The Molecular-sieve units had greatly affected differential pressures that carried a significant risk of reduced production potential. The project required completion as a matter of urgency.
As head contractor, Total Industrial Services provided overall project management, shipping & logistics support, permits, waste treatment and disposal, manpower and local knowledge.
Scope of Work
The Molecular-sieve project set the standard for catalyst work on the client site using the wet dump method, conducting (CSE) works in inert environments. The project was delivered on time with zero LTI’s.
The teams were credited by the client for their professionalism and safety focus throughout the works.
The equipment utilized on the project is a specific design configured to reduce the human interface risks with the spent catalyst. The client singling out the drum decanter for its safe design for barrel tipping as well as the confined space entry (CSE) system utilizing primary and secondary breathing systems due to its umbilical design.
Waste treatment and disposal was undertaken in line with safety and environmental regulations.
